For Your Birthday?

Yesterday, Jeffrey and I were handwashing the pots and pans that could not fit in the dishwasher. He kept begging me to let him use the scrubber to help wash. I should have let him do it but I was in a hurry so I just wanted to get it done. His job was to rinse the soap off in the next sink. Jeffrey is always full of funny comments and out of no where he said, "I wish I could have a scrubber for my birthday so I can help wash the dishes." I couldn't help but smile and giggle inside. I guess the boy really wants to help!

I thought you were gone for good! It is so ironic that kids want to help until they are old enough to actually BE helpful and then they are done wanting to help. Sigh.

That's so funny. I wish I could have bought my kids a scrubber for all their birthdays!

I think this is so cute because my Audrey does the same thing. She always wants to help when I am in a hurry and insists she uses the scrubber. I guess that's one good thing about having a broken dishwasher is that there is plenty of filth to go around.
